Arrested a large book smuggling network in Da Nang

Da Nang police said the book smuggling ring was led by Nguyen Trung Luat, 43 years old, and Pham Ngoc Quang, 47 years old, both residing in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam.

Danang detective service agency, Quang is the director of Quang Thang advertising trading service company limited.

According to the investigation, Luat discussed with Quang producing fake books from Vietnam Education Publishing House and a number of other publishers.

Law provided paper and set quantities to organize the printing of fake books at Quang’s two printing factories.

After printing, the paper is left in its original size and then transported to Luat’s processing workshop in Thanh Xuan 25 Ward, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, for cutting, binding, stamping, and packaging.

Goods are transported to Luat’s 3 warehouse locations to hide, waiting for consumption in the market.

Quang assigned Phan Xuan Nang, 34 years old, to manage and operate all activities at the two printing factories.

Luat assigned Le Ha Thanh, 23 years old, to transport printing paper to Quang’s printing factory and receive the products after printing.

The Da Nang Economic Police Department searched the suspects’ residences and confiscated many related machinery, vehicles, and equipment.

Luat and Quang’s group produced and sold more than 4 million fake books. 10 people involved in this ring were arrested.
