Two thieves caught stealing white swans from Saigon Zoo

On January 27, Ho Chi Minh city police announced the temporary detention of a suspect identified as N.C.P.  for investigation into a theft involving a white swan at the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens.

Earlier, on the morning of January 26, the zoo’s management reported to the police that a white swan kept within the premises had gone missing.

Ho Chi Minh detective, A review of the security camera footage at the enclosure showed an individual illegally entering the area, leaving behind a pair of bolt cutters at the scene.

Through investigative measures, police identified N.C.P. as the suspect and arrested him while he was hiding in Duc Hoa commune, Tay Ninh province.

During questioning, the suspect admitted that he had sold the swan to another individual in Can Tho city, Vietnam.

Authorities are continuing to gather evidence, clarify the involvement of any related individuals in the consumption of stolen property, and handle the case in accordance with the law.
