Hanoi, Vietnam detective service agency – The police of Long Bien district, Hanoi city have just busted a case of smuggling a large quantity of cigarettes and cigars, worth about 1 billion VND.
According to the investigation, the Economic Crime Investigation Police Team of Long Bien District Police and Bo De Ward Police discovered Nguyen Tien Bac residing in Hanoi, showing suspicious behavior.
Bac rented a house at number 26, lane 69 Ai Mo, Bo De ward, Long Bien Hanoi, to operate the cigarette and cigar business.
Hanoi detective service agency, Long Bien District Police investigated and collected documents about the incident.
Authorities checked and arrested Nguyen Tien Bac while he was carrying boxes of cigars into the house.
Conducting an emergency search of Bac’s residence, the authorities discovered and confiscated nearly 50kg of smuggled cigarettes and cigars of all kinds.
The case is being investigated by the police.
