Repeat graffiti offender handled in Ho Chi Minh city

Police in Xuan Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh city are compiling a case file to take action against Nguyen Quynh Khoi, born in 2000, residing in Binh Tan Ward for spray-painting on residents’ property.

According to initial information, in the early hours of April 5, a patrol team detected Khoi showing signs of violating public order and brought him to the police station for questioning.

There, he admitted that he had previously used spray paint to draw graffiti on the rolling doors of two houses on Dien Bien Phu Street to satisfy his personal interests.

Notably, despite having been administratively fined VND 1.5 million in August 2025 for a similar offense, Khoi continued to reoffend.

During this latest incident, authorities confiscated eight spray paint cans (six of which were unused) along with a mobile phone.

Police escorted Khoi to the locations where the graffiti had been made and required him to remove the drawings and remedy the damage.

The case is currently being handled in accordance with the law.
