Proposing to increase the sentence with 2 policemen

The Chief Procurator of the High People’s Procuracy in Ho Chi Minh City has decided to appeal against the first-instance judgment (3rd time) in the case of Huynh Ngoc Tong and Pham Xuan Binh for the crime of using corporal punishment.

The prosecution agency proposed that the High People’s Court in Ho Chi Minh City conduct an appellate trial in the direction of increasing the punishment for defendants Tong and Binh.

The first instance court sentenced defendant Huynh Ngoc Tong to 24 months in prison and Pham Xuan Binh to 18 months in prison, which is too light due to the behavior of these two people.

The victim in a case was beaten to death by two defendants Tong and Binh.

Tong and Binh used their hands, feet, and a cane to hit the suspect with serious injuries, resulting in death.

In May 2016, the Dong Thap Court tried and sentenced Tong to 1 year and 6 months in prison, and Binh to 11 months and 11 days in prison for using corporal punishment.

In 2019, the second appellate trial continued to annul the first-instance judgment.

Reserve the point of view of punishing defendant Tong 24 months in prison and Binh 18 months in prison.

The High People’s Court in Ho Chi Minh City is accepting and will bring the case to trial in the near future, Ho Chi Minh detective 2022.
