A source confirmed that on August 14, 2025, the Investigation agency under the supreme people’s procuracy decided to prosecute and temporarily detain Huynh Thanh.
He was formerly a judge at the People’s court of Cu Kuin district, now the People’s court of region 5, Dak Lak province, Vietnam.
This person was temporarily detained to serve the investigation related to the act of accepting bribes in a case.
In 2023, Mr. Thanh was temporarily suspended from work to serve the investigation.
While the investigation was still ongoing, he submitted a resignation letter and officially quit his job in July 2025.
