The incident was caused by a conflict of money in business with gay partner, Vuong – 43 years old, Kien Giang hometown, splashing acid with this man and two injured.
Vuong loves homosexual Minh, 44, from Kien Giang, more than ten years. Previously, Vuong wanted to buy land in Phu Quoc to run a restaurant business, so he borrowed VND 5.5 billion from Minh.

The project was completed but could not apply for a license because the land was in the planning area, the business was delayed, Vuong fell into debt.
To solve the debt, Minh agreed to buy Vuong’s restaurant for VND 2.8 billion and give VND 1.5 billion in advance, the remaining amount will actively contact the creditors to pay on behalf of Vuong.
Minh did not fulfill his promise that caused Vuong to be beaten by creditors in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vuong went to Ho Chi Minh City to rent a hotel in District 1, Vuong knew that Minh and his friends were going from Saigon to Vung Tau, he went to buy acid to avenge the previous conflicts.
In the afternoon of 21/5/2020, Mr. Minh and his friend, a couple of men and women were carrying luggage to cars, when Vuong came by motorbike, he threw acid in Minh’s face and the two of them went with him.
The victims were taken to emergency in a state of severe burns, after which he surrendered, the police continued to investigate this incident.
